How To Uninstall Ethernet Driver
I am having frequent network connection drop, old & well reported problem with no real cure so I want to update the new Marvell Yukon driver.
Office 365 full install. Hi, I'd love to be able to uninstall the network card just before I shut down/restart the computer. Thanks Andy PS Here's why [In brief]: I have a Gigabyte EP41-UD3L running W7. Automatic update recommended I update the network adapter -- I did. Since then, I have 2 internet connections, so I can't access the Net. Uninstalling the network adapter, and restarting fixes the issue.
Later, I reinstalled W7 and everything was fine. Every time Windows update suggested the update, I unchecked the box to stop it from being installed.
Once I forgot, and now I'm in trouble again. Reinstalling Windows and all my software/settings would take soooo long so isn't an option. I've even downloaded the driver from the Gigabyte website, and that has the same issue.
So, my most time effective option is to write a simple app that uninstalls the network adapter before shutting down/restarting. This way, my computer can run after a restart. It also gives me the added bonus that my secretary can restart and setup the network adapter while I'm away. Thanks again.
